hello all, the low down. 04 rx1 mtn completley stock, O-S-0 spring.bought it from the states.
itl rev past 11000 easy if u actually let it i have alot more throttle left thats not being used.
im purchasing the 8FA-17605-10-00 weights with both 4.5 gram rivets inner/outer, i was told to go with a Y-S-Y spring, i was looking up the spec sheet and the rx1-er/warrior etc..have the recomended for my elevation y-s-y spring ,but then when you scroll down to the RX1 MTN spec it shows the same 8FA-17605-10-00 weights but using the stock O-S-O spring.
so before i change the spring over do i leave the O-S-O on or it kinda goes hand in hand change the spring with the weights because it is a rpm lowering mod as the O-S-O would still probably be letting it rev higher or not match correctly with the different weighting? Just thought i would ask before i do this as i dont wanna wreck anything and would like to put this topic to bed already.
The exact mod im going by is Sled Dogs for his flatlanding Rx1 Mtn
( Y-S-Y primary spring/ 8FA-17605-10-00 weights with 4.5 gram inner/outer rivets)
thnx

Sombody here just might have weights from a 05 warrior that is what you want.

the easiest thing you can do is add more weight to the arms you have. no matter what spring you use, you will still pull 11000 plus rpm. the spring controls the engagement and the rate of shift. the o.s.o. is actually a good spring with a low engagement (35kg) and a high final shift (143kg) as well as a high rate (3 or more kg/mm). get your dealer to order rivets and add 2 grams to the tip to start. and just so you know rivets come in a pack of 5 and you need 3.
