We all have squeaky wallets for certain items for our 998's!!
Mine is intercooler hoses, instead of purchasing 200-300$ colored silicone hoses I decided to attempt to plastidip my hoses!
After a full season with my stock hoses painted using plastidip(15$) they held up perfect!
What is your cheapskate mod?

we took my buddys sno pro and bent some sag into the rear springs since hes like a stick and couldn't find a source for weaker springs. he can finally get the skis in the air. that and a repaired pair of precissions and a pair of used old zr front shocks and springs to replace the solid floats. like a new machine all together

Best cheapest mod so far was running a power line off battery to Goggle bag. Double USB connector for phone and GPS and then plug in for battery tender in off season.

Maybe not cheapskate...but cheap.

Bite harder carbide sharpener and a welder gets me at least 2 seasons on carbides. I don’t change them till carbide cracks out or bar snaps in half. Same skis on all 3 of my sleds so rotate carbides around. Saves ton of $. Even though a new set of tires on vehicle make it drive like new I hate buying tires. Same thing with carbides. Ugly but works.

I have one of those sharpeners and have yet to try it.
It works great on Shaper Carbide which is very hard. Woodys carbide gums it up. I have the diegrinder one. Best is to use it often like every few rides. Once flat it takes awhile. Keeping them sharp often I dont even remove them from skis. Just have to keep up on it.
