They're impressive, but to be honest, I'd rather watch stock class sleds or the improved/pro-stock versions of them.
I don't understand how these guys can run these races with the miniscule amount of prize money at stake and the cost of these machines must be $100k or more. Understand it's mostly funded by sponsors but they need to get more people to these events to up the prize money to keep the sport alive.

An outlaw 4 cylinder from Hypersports I've been told is more like $250,000 then add the spare parts that go along with it and the associated costs involved. Its takes severely deep pockets to run a competitive outlaw sled. Pretty insane and they will never break even winning every event even. Pretty stupid IMO, back in the day I was winning more money at a drag racing event than they are going for today. Not many can say they made money at snowmobile drag racing, but I was fortunate enough to be doing it for a living in drag racings glory days before the SnoCross events came about and stole the $$$$ the factories put into racing. Drag Racing & Speed Running used to pay really well for records and wins. Pretty insane what the investment output is nowadays for the winnings at a drag race honestly. To see a paycheck of $5000 or less to win at an Outlaw event is insulting for the investment involved. It wouldn't be my first choice to invest the $$ in at all, but these guys must have the money to literally burn like that for these big turbo classes. The only ones getting rich on outlaw sleds is Hypersports...

I was told by a team member (not Eagle One) that between the sled, parts, hauler, crew, and expenses, it costs over $500,000 per year to run an outlaw sled.I don't understand how these guys can run these races with the miniscule amount of prize money at stake and the cost of these machines must be $100k or more. Oh yeah, I'm surprised it's not more! That's a whole lot of travel and pay checks for the crew to keep them motivated. Whole lot of time and energy going into five 3 second passes!I was told by a team member (not Eagle One) that between the sled, parts, hauler, crew, and expenses, it costs over $500,000 per year to run an outlaw sled.

Not sure how many events the Outlaw guys go to but I think it's like 8.
