Choosing a Clutch Kit

I don,t know what Bender runs for a helix. I had good luck in my pre-turboed 03 RX-1 running a 48/40 advant-edge with hc,s. I think I had 4 grams heel & a 2.4 gram hh screw loctighted in the tip. You just gotta add enuff heel weight to get engagement down low & grab the belt. Then you tune with a combinitaion of different tip weight s & helix,s.

Ohio Rider, after talking with Turk and watching him adjust the clutches on sleds in Manitoba, it was clear to me that if you want to really get the value out of a clutch kit, then you had better be prepared to get your hands dirty and make the adjustments. If you aren't, stick with the stock clutching.

you can tune a stock clutch, to run with the aftermarket boy as well. might cost you a lot less to make your own kit. ;)!

Tuning my own stocker is what I am doing. You can buy a lot of springs and weights for what they are charging for a kit that you end up tuning anyway. Been there. Done that, with ACs.

Sounds great..maybe I just pick up a c ouple of springs and weights.

Really the only thing I don't like about my stock set up is the back shifting. It winds up real nice, but it also winds down way to quickely. If your standing up it throws you over the windshield. This also sucks as your going into corners, sure youcan take a corner deeper and faster, but if your just cruising and let off a bit you lose allot of spped. Any ideas how cure this ?
