just wondering what everyone is using to clean the foam filter in the airbox? mine has some oil on it . have done some searches and haven't found anything.

I use a garbage can to clean mine. Step 1, Remove filter. Step 2, Throw in garbage can.

Thats it! 2 easy steps and its a one time service :) Eric

soap and water i also oil mine before i put it back in it catches belt threads better that way

Then spend $25 on a new one? They are re-useable for free fyi. Just cleanse a little bit in soapy watere, rinse, air dry, and viola!

If I wasnt clear, I was trying to say I dont run that filter at all. If you ride powder that thing will ice up bad. The screen is the only thing I have ran since my 04 warrior. Thats about 12,000 miles on the rx-1/apex engine combo.

The better option is to remove the air box and install an intercooler in its place :) Eric
