Well the guy I bought my sled off of wasn't a big fan of washing it properly, the skid is kind of corroded looking I guess you could say, it doesn't look terrible but I would like to clean it up a bit, what would be the best way to get it looking new?

Pull it, disassamble, wash with degreaser solvent or soap or sand blast, paint or powder coat. Your choice! Also a good time to throw in some new oil lite bushings and inspect idlers
Good luck

disassemble skid and after washing use 1500 grit sand paper and wet sand teh aluminum rails. This is very tedious but if you take your time and do a good job you'll be able to remove that corroded look. After you have sanded it really well use some Mother's Aluminum Polish to bring out the shine! And of course take the opportunity to re-grease the skid.
