Can I clean all the somewhat shiney metal on the sled with brake cleaner?
in a previous post i was told brake cleaner will clean the exhast mess but can i use it on the foot rest area?

Your playing with fire if you get it on paint it is very harsh, I would use just Simple green or some other type of cleaner and then use a polishing type compound like Mothers.

If you are looking to shine up the aluminum, get some Purple Metal Polish.

I picked some up based on recommendations from this forum and it worked very well.

If you can find a DRIWASH distributor....that stuff works awesome!!

Aluminum Wheel Cleaners work well for cleaning, and the Purple is great for polishing.
