I have an 03 RX mtn that I am going to run on the flatlands. The sled has the ECP kit with evac and I am running a 1 3/8" 151 track. I have 3 different sets of heelclickers 40/10 Gen II, 40/10 2-speed, and 92-11Y's also I can run stock stuff too. I have hc-x secondary and can run the stock secondary as well. Can someone give me a good starting point.

Thanks!

40/10,s & 92-11y are the same. Gotta know the angle of the helix in your hc-x to even begin to make a guess. I would get a 51/43 helix or something close. Also run your stock secondary spring at 60 degree wrap. Running 4-5 grams heel & 3-4 grams tip & mid empty with the 40/10,s or 92-11y will get you very close.

Turk,
Thanks for the response. I have straight 38, straight 42, straight 46, 42-38, 42-34, 42-46, straight 50 for the hc-x. Although because way they are made, they act differently to the comparable yamaha helix is what I am told. Will this setup make up for the clutching needed for the ECP? Also what about a primary spring and secondary spring color?

Thanks!

Here is what I would try 1st; should get you very close. white heelclicker spring; 92-11y hc,s with 4 grams heel & 5 grams tip; mid empty. Run the 42/38helix using your stock secondary spring at 60 degree wrap.

Thanks again!

Just one quick question.. What size rollers should I be running? I think the mountains came stock with 16.5mm? Should I be using 14.5 with this setup? Thanks again for all your help.

You want to run the 15 or 14.5 mm rollers. 89L,s won,t work at low altitude & there are a lot better chices then that for mountain riding too.
