No, its looks to be normal 1/2" sounds a little much but they don't climb all the way up normaly, have you checked for slippage after a WOT run feel your clutches to see if they're HOT...
I've also noticed in 1 of your post that your white spring is in your tool box, throw it on and wind it 3/3 it made a difference on my '05 RX1 shorty, better hole shot and top end.

the most top end I've seen is with the white spring wrapped at around 120 degrees, I'll try it again but the clutches are cool to the touch and i can't see where it was slipping at WOT but i did notice the clutch slipping when I was going around 40 mph

instead of starting a new thread I'm reviving this one, I need to know what fixes a slipping belt in the primary, I blew a belt a couple weeks ago and I think I'm going to blow another one if I don't fix it, do I need to tighten the secondary or add some weight to the primary?

I believe tightening the secondary will make the slip in the primary worse
