Hi
I have a 2006 RS Venture with 15000 Km on it.I was checking the clutches and found a small grouve in the primary clutch faces.the groove is right in the middle of both plates and about 1/8 wide .I can feel it with my finger nail.
Any fixes or suggestion?

Root cause is running the same speed most of the time........like your "favorite" speed etc. Happens to most at one time or another because 8DN belts are extremely hard for durability. No real fix other than replacing sheaves and that is pricey
If groove is not too bad you (or someone else if you prefer to keep all your fingers) can remove the belt and run the motor at idle. Take some very fine sandpaper/emery cloth and a flat edge and LIGHTLY polish each sheave. Be careful not to remove too much material. It won't completely fix the issue but may lessen the effect some.........
