Just curious, does the AC 7000 with the Team clutches have the same clutch rattle as the Viper. My 2016 Viper was really quiet until I got a couple hundred miles, now as bad as ever. Maybe the new Sidewinder clutch will be better, if the Viper gets it next year.

It's nothing to worry about, the rattle is normal. There are some quiet kits available out there but not sure how well they work.

Yes, I realize that, just don't like the noise. Seems like the whole sled is vibrating. Quiet kits I have tried don't work. Interestingly my dealer says the turbo sleds don't have that vibration, no idea why.

Turbo vipers? Or sidewinder. I have the mpi turbo with Ulmer clutch kit. When I first put the clutch kit in the sled was whisper quiet, and then I drove it once.
Just as noisey as ever.

He claims both turbos are quiet, don't understand why that would be. He has driven the Sidewinder, claims it is a very different sled than the Viper in terms of refinement????????

I hope it is!
That's what the sidewinder is.a refined turbo viper. If you have been watching the viper / viper turbo evolution over the last couple years. You'll see what Yamaha has been experimenting with. Unfortunately for some 16 owners not properly heat treated rods where an oversight.
Mpi had the eabc for altitude and now the sidewinder has a Yamaha altitude boost controller. I hope Yamaha has perfected the "no turbo lag" with this new valve in the intake. It looks impressive.

The sidewinder looks great. If it's a viper on steroids then it will be a bad #*$&@ machine.
