I am getting ready change the clutching on my sled for a trip out west and have confused myself on what the (IN) and (OUT) descriptions used in the Yamaha Service Manual refer to in regard to the position of the clutch weight rivets. When reading the manual, I assumed that the (IN) position was closest to the pivot point of the weight and the (OUT) position was at the tip. But when the weight is actually installed in the clutch, the rivet position that is on the outer edge of the clutch is closest to the pivot point of the weight and rivet position near the tip of the weight is the inner position. So what is the correct description???
