Was out do some clutching on a 03 Rx1 rear mount Bender 2. I put a solid yellow primary spring in that i had sitting around from a SRX i think?
Sled now would engage at 4,500 nice!! I have some H.H. loaded at 68.5 grams. Now for the back a straight 47 with a sliver at 100deg. Sled just ran great pulled to 10900!! With little lag! Very happy, so next i want to pull a little weight from tip to find the edge of the rev. limiter. and work my way back real slow! (12-13 psi boost) This is where some thing went funny? I went with 67.7 grams sled pulled 10,500??? What?? Tons of lag? Then i see that the clutch is engaging at like 3,500? Where did the 1,000 rpm go??
Took clutch back apart and i swear i can tell it is tons easy to hold the spring with my hands to pull the cover bolts off? So i went with 66.1 grams put clutch back on sled engages at like 3,600 now and did not pull but like 10,500?? With TONS of lag?? Put sled on trailer.

Guys does this sound like primary spring took a crap? Does that happen a lot?

Skydog P.S. What primary spring do i need to get back to 4500-4600?

Sky D.
Was this the first time out?
How far did she run?
What other springs do you have?
Sounds like other crap going besides the primary spring.

Yea frist time out this year man. What else could it be?? Motor just runs great. I have a few other springs and a stock one.

But i would think with the engagment coming down about 1,000 rpm it must be the primary spring.??

Thank you Skydog
