Drop a teeth or two on the top sprocket. Stock clutching works so much better afterwards.

X2 on dropping one tooth on the top gear. As far as clutching it comes from Yami for 6-8,000k. So at a minimum you need to take the rivets out of the factory 8FS. I would suggest doing more than that though. The stock weights have a really harsh engagement. This does not help with trenching. I bought a set-up from Scott (scmurs) at OFT Racing. He used to own OFT but sold to Rick (rlcofmn) but still does all the machine work. He has figured out a dynamite clutch set-up that flat out works. It is all Yami parts (weights, springs, rollers). His set-up also just needs a weight change for riding at sea-level. Shoot him a PM and he will set you up. Don't bother looking for it on the website as they do not carry it.

I am not sure but i think the 2011 already has a 19 tooth to gear because that was the first year that the turbo was a factory option so make sure what you have because you go and try dropping 2 teeth off the top.
Scott setup for the nytro works wonders for the sled. from what i have read and heard i might be giving him a call as well in the near future.

I thought the stock MTX's came from the factory with clutching and gearing for 10,000 feet. Empty rivets in the clutch weights. Atleast my 2008 amd 2010 came that way..........

He will be running 18t top gear and no rivets in the cam arms.
Stock the clutching seems pretty good. Might use a bit lower engagement point though. Depends on teh snow. In firm mountain snow it works great but in fresh pow I struggle with take off.

My 09' came clutched for 6-8k'. That set up has a rivet in the tip and a 20t top gear.

Thank You all for the good Info HAvent broke into anything yet, but dealer says it has 18 on top gear. Ill definatly look into the the suggestions after I see for myself what its truly got! heading out to the snowies 2-8 of march and find out how she gets around what I wanna change Ect.
but was looking at getting exhaust for it and like the MBRP but some ppl say it leans it out... is this true and if so what damage could it do. not looking at going all out with headers ect. prolly have a turbo in a few years!!!!
but for now looking for some sound and weight loss! any reccomendations

Had a buddy with the MBRP pipe. Hated it, always blowing the packing out and very loud. Another buddy with the full exhaust, just lost the header on his last ride. About 300 miles ago the mid pipe cracked off at the weld. All in all about 1000 miles and it is completely done and no warranty he was told. Only got it installed last year. If you are just going for a pipe , get a Hindle, super-Q or Barker. . Guys seem to like those and haven't heard of any falling apart. I would say Barker is the loudest of the 3 I listed.

Need some more info. Elevation, sled length, mods or stock. I posted both our set up's for a 162 Hindle Exhaust and 153 Super-Q pipe somewhere on here. What part of the Rock are you riding in. From Deer Lake originally.
