What is everybody running for clutch setups with the k&n filters for groomed trails
What's your engagement and peak rpm?

keep your stock weights, swap out the primary spring to an orange-silver orange and go. if you pull more than 10700 at wide open then add more tip weight.

one more thing about those filters, remove the 4 50mm snorkels from the air box and fit the ends into the filters, and use them to mount to carbs. the snorkels are important for proper airflow, use them.

I've ran the K & N's for like 8 or 9 years, I've never heard of this. How does this improve the airflow? I also have made and installed the EVAC system.
OP-did you install the larger jets and springs? I have a different helix and spring, plus heavy hitters. I am not a clutch guy, so I cant tell what weights or color of spring or what angle of helix. However I did the install myself.

I have the intake kit on mine and the Hauck No.3 clutch kit. I pull at 10500. I do not know what the kit has for springs or weights as I had hauck install it for me but it seems to be spot on.

I have the machined aluminum velocity stacks from ECP.
Serves the same purpose as the stock rubber intakes.
I added them a few years ago after Freddie posted some positive results with a local grass dragger who picked up some et time.
I didn't notice any difference but figured it couldn't hurt.

"aluminum velocity stacks from ECP" OK, thanks, now I understand.

the 50mm intakes in the airbox are a critical part of the airflow for performance. the length and shape are not an accident, short intakes for higher rpm. the filters are just that, filters, made to filter air. buy combining the 2 you get proper flow. when these came out back in 03 many people were loosing top end with just the filters, and then they came out with "rings" for the carbs (more $). the snorkels are there, easy to use, and made for the job. the r1 bike uses varaible length intakes for rpm specific power because it works.
