Can anyone give me a little advice as to if I need to do anything with the clutch of my 04 warrior with ECP filters, to go to the mountains. I will be riding in about the 5-8000ft range. I have rejetted and have been told several different stories ranging from stock clutching will be fine or OK to you have to change the clutching. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Run the '05 RX-1 mtn factory clutching and you should be good. If your clutched for the ECP filters and your elevation you may be a little low on RPMs but should be ok if you don't want to change the clutching. Put some more twist in the secondary spring for backshift though. I ran my '03 stock clutches just fine for three years with a 90 twist on the silver secondary spring. Your biggest problem will be the track anyhow if you get into really deep powder while climbing.

Also are you running different springs for the carbs? If so, which ones? I have a set of red ones you can have along with my silver secondary spring. What are the jetting changes you made? I ran 135 mains, 25 pilots, screws at stock '03 setting for 6500-10,000 ft elevation.

I have the springs that came with the ECP kit, silver I think, and 165 mains which I am changing down to 160 at the advice of Freddie from ECP, fuel screws at 2 1/2 turns. I was told today by a dealer that I would only need to remove the rivits from the weights to be fine? What do you think?

Your carbs should be good then. For the clutching; if you plan on doing serious climbing, remove the rivets and twist the secondary spring some more to increase the backshift to keep the revs up. If not you should be fine with the rivets in the weights and your secondary spring where it's at.
