I have an 06 RTX. I am running Super Torquer 2 speed arms and also there roller clutch. I want to run about 10,400 on the bottom and about 10,800 on top. With my current setup it seems to want to run just the opposite even after trying a bunch of helixes and other combos. I think the arms pull down the rpms on top. I was thinking about going with the facatory arms and running the roller secondary with a 42 helix. Has anyone tried any similar combo? What do you think? Any recommendations would be great. Do the factory arms really suck? I have never run them.

You need a helix with a lower finish angle & more initial angle. Roller clutch really throws everything off & makes a diff on what roller. Also gotta know what helix,s you tried.

Ive messed with roller secondarys many times in past....and they are a royal pain to MODERATE RPMS...IMO,they are ONLY GOOD FOR something like snowcross racing...where backshift is a must....

the standard "old school" plastic puck/helix combo yammie uses is very efficient and IMO,you will be able to make it work much better overal...Dalton makes some great helixes for these...along with his amazing DPYR flyweights.....

my 2 cents

I have tried a straight 38,42 and 50. I also tried a 42/34. Don't forget even with a straight helix on the HC-X it shifts harder on the bottom than on top and has plenty of belt sqeeze on top. I think the combo of the Super Torquer primary and secondary just shifts to hard on top. So has anyone run stock arms and a roller secondary?

I have used advant-edge rollers since 1998 & really have em figured out. Never played with a heel x but Randy N should be able to dial you in with his components. I am surprised the 42/34 was not close with 3 grams only in the heel. If you got an advant-edge something close to a 41/33 works great with stock weights. I used a 41/35 with hh,s in an Attak & it worked great.

up roller size will expand you tuning range...if you ran 42/34 with the heel empty and your rpm's are too low on top you've run out of tuning range..I had the same issue with a big bore sxr .

oh sorry I wasnt aware you had any weight in the shoulder...thought it was bare...if you can remove from the shoulder for sure....if you have it empty then you can remove form the heel (because it comes back in on top)but for every gram you remove from the heel raise's your engagement 100 + - rpm's...so that's not optimal...that's why if the weight itself is empty I recommended a larger roller
