2016 SR Viper LTX-DX Turbo
I just got the big venom kit installed in my '16 LTX with the MPI 5psi kit.

I was waiting for a bit of extra break in to see if the last clutch setup from the dealer would work a bit better but no dice. I was only seeing 8500 rpm on the tach and speeds were struggling.

Now with the big venom kit in (with the weights as they came when I bought it used) I'm only seeing 8300 rpm.

I looked at the FAQ section and saw shagman's setup but it was for an XTX. My question, will this be a good basepoint to start tuning my LTX? I'm not machined and I'm using the 8jp belt.

I didn't want to putz with clutching as some buddies were in town to ride but I'm hoping to get things tuned in this weekend! Thanks for any help on starting points.

I have the MPI Trail turbo kit on my 15 LTX-SE. Before clutching, it would just bang off the limiter. I also have the Big Venom kit, and after some fiddling I have it where I think it works good (but I still think I should be getting more RPM/MPH out of it at the top end). I started with BV's recommendation, and found that it was too much weight particularly in the midrange (it would shift up too soon and the revs dropped out of the band). It took me at least three tries to get it right. Sorry that's not much help, but I don't know of a better solution than try/make notes/change it up.

If you haven’t yet give lonn at thunder products a call have a weight out or know excactly what’s in it also all other information primary spring secondary set up he will get you dam close. Yes no doubt it won’t be perfect conditions change each sled is different but will be close.

I know there is thousands of post about this but don't really want to have to read them all. I have a 2015 viper xtx se stock and looking for a clutch kit, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've see Ulmer, Thunder and Bikeman on lots of post but wanted to see what yall think.....
