i bought a 2011 xtx 1.75 with full hindle pcv and airbox mod 55g weights from hurricane and a blue silver blue spring not sure if thats a factory spring. it would top out at 151 kph and 8450 rpm i raced a friends 2012 xf 800 1.5 and we were even all the way so he suggested shimming the primary spring so we started with about 1/8 inch and raced again i got 156 kph and about 8600 rpm and depending on the start i would either beat him the whole way or pass him mid way and beat him so we put about a 1/4 inch shim in it we didnt race but i took it for a spin and it went up to 158 kph and 8700ish rpm so i know my rpm isnt where it should be and would like it around 9000 rpm without the shim so any suggestions would be great as i would love to beat my other friends as well a 2011 800 mxz 2012 800 summit.

Run 14.5 rollers with heel clicker 2 speeds 2 washers in the heel with a black primary spring. This setup rocks, my rtx stock with this setup would be doo 800's all day this year will only be better. If a different clutch kit is out for ya start by removing some tip weight and run it at 9000 to 9100

these weights only have rivets in the heel and mid so could i drill the tip to lose a couple grams or is that asking for trouble?

Heelclickers site actually tells you not to run 2 washers in the heel.

That is the setup Turk used to run...it's supposed to work very well, I know his Drag n Fly set up did!

Yes my mistake Here's what their site says.

"A maximum of two washers can be added to the bolt at the shoulder location. Each washer weights 1.0 grams".

This is the setup I will be running in my XTX sometime this year.

I'm waiting for my 2-speeds to show up, hopefully next week.
