Climing out of a ditch the other day on my 07 Apex and I managed to lay it over on its right side. It ran for about 15 to 20 seconds before I decided I wasn't going to get it back on its skis and i hit the kill switch. Got it off its side and flat, started it up and it ran fine for 15 -20 secs and then cut out. Code 30 came up(which looking threw the different postings here tells me low crank pressure) After further inspection find that the oil reservoir is full of oil.(I mean all the way to the top not to the full mark) Searching postings here I came across 1 with simmilar problem and the answer is to lift right side of machine and let oil push out possible air bubbles in pump and transfer line that runs under engine from oil reservoir. I'v done this several times and can't get the pump to start pulling oil threw the system.I give it short 5 sec start ups to get pump moving. There is less than 100km on this puppy and its snowing right know. The 4 differnet dealers I've call say that this is a new one for them and they haven't heard of it before, I should bring it in. How do I fix this and shouldn't everyone running the same machine or the same engine have this brought to there attention as I know some of use from time to time put the rubber side up. Any help is appreciated and in the meantime I will continue to try and get answers from the dealer where I purchased.

My best guess to get it going again would be to start from scratch. Drain down the complete system and refill...

If you put about .2 liters of oil into the filler hole on the "valve cover" it my just do the trick.. That filler hole is what is used when filling a new engine to prime it.....MM. ;)!

I did the same to mine but mine was tipped for 5-6 seconds and it shut off on its own. Then I could see the code on the dash. I let it sit a minute or so and it fired right back up and was all set.

Thanks for the fast return on my problem guies. I tried the drain down and start from scratch with no luck. Then tryed the blow in tank procedure that Maxdlx link to kinger post. This worked and my horse runs again.
Took off all hoses to resivoir tank and pluged with fingures, exept for return hose. I put 6" long hose on this to blow in. I pressurised for several sec.s then turnd the engine over manualy via the clutch to try and move oil. After doing this a couple of times I pulled the plugs out and used the starter for quiker rpm.(this wored much better as you can imagine but I would recomend disconecting power to the fuel as you may flood engine.)
After couple of quick shots on the starter motor oil started to run out the return line. Put it all back together and it fired. Droped the oil in resevoir about an inch so I new it was pumping. added more oil took it for a rip and then did happy dance. I will be adding the 6" of rubber hose to my tool kit in trunk for the next spill.
Thanks again for the replies and hope that all win the snow lotery this winter.

Thanks for reporting black knight, it's really good to see that you got things worked out.

It would be great if you could take a moment and fill out your profile. We'd like to make this mandatory at sign up but found that it helps keep spammers off the site if it's left optional.

Thanks :flag:

This should be a sticky, and real odd its not in the yamaha repair manual or manual. costed me 6 intake valves at startup of rebuild.
