Last night I got back from a 2 hour run, and stopped at a friends before heading home. When I started my sled to leave, it stalled 5 secs after starting. When I turned the key on again, I didn't hear the fuel pump again. So low and behold, I have code 43 flashing again. Last year I had this problem, and it was a burnt ground at the wiring harness. Can anyone tell me where the fuel pump ground is on the wiring harness? I would like to start there first. Pics would be great if you have them.

thanks,
Steve

between the oil resivior and the radiator in the wireing harness is the grounding block. It is about 1 inch by 1 1/2 inches, square wrapped in the harness. What it is, is the main ground from the voltage regulator goes to the block and ties all the other electrical acessories grounds together. Usually the wire that shorts out is the main ground wire going into the block from the voltage regulator. The GB on my mnt. lite is yellow. This happened to me but I had to replace my voltage regulator and clean up and fix grounding block and I havent had a problem for 2500 miles. Try unplugging your voltage regotator, its on the left side of machine next to stearing post and infront of gas tank. Unplug the plug closest to stearing post and the turn on key, see what happens?

So I took my sled apart again, and the yellow connector wiring harness block between the oil tank and the rad, had a wire loose from the burning of the wire last year. The dealer never changed the harness. So I stopped in but they cannot tell me if I need to change all the wiring in the sled or just the terminal for those ground wires. Has anyone had this problem? What did you do? For a full wiring harness I'm looking at $500+ before labor. Yikes. Can you say for sale? lol
