Put 4 coils from royal distributing into a 03, from that point on engine light started flashing a hand warmer code, after 800 kms now it stumbles and sounds like a msd, studder box below 5000rpm, after if runs better but no power, when engine light goes out while driving engine tone changes and sounds a ton better, I switched my coils with another rx I was sledding with , all my issues left and went to his sled. to help narrow down we started switching back 1 at a time , once they were split 2 yamaha coils with 2 royal distributing coils, both sleds ran good with no engine light on either ???? I am starting to really not like the products royal sells, I hate the thought of buying $400 more worth of coils as there is NO warranty on royals coils even though they are 3 weeks old !!!

I have found when it comes to electric it pays to buy OME you save money in the long run

will they not exchange? Must of us went to OEM from a used parts dealer on this thread. I went with 05 coils years ago, no problems since.

This is a long one but to sum it up that was this guys problem.Had same thing happen to me on a Polaris.OEM for me on all electronics.

Thanks for the replys, read the post sounds familiar in the frustration end of it, spent `10 hour of stripping complete harness looking for a short or pinch, never thought of coils , until seeing the CDI controls both, just a flook to swap with a willing rx owner (thanks). I got screwed when I bought and took 600 in parts to get ready with out coils and the thought of 4 coils at $100 each was not a nice one, they told me no returns even if new ones didnt work when I got home, I think I will call again and talk to his boss
