- 2018 SW RTX SE
Well I own a 07 RTX and my Dad owns a 07 attak GT. This weekend I had a chance to put a few miles on his attak. My impressions were as follows:
Handling:
The Attak handles significantly better than a stock 07 RTX. It handles about the same as my RTX with a 13mm bar and floats set at 50 lbs.
Suspension:
The Attak has one heck of a nice suspension in it. The RTX is stiffer but it is intended to be. I really enjoyed the plush ride and adjustabiliity of the Attak GT.
Performance:
The RTX felt more snappy. This is no surprise it is geared lower and has a shorter track. However if we were to drag race I am pretty sure I would lose. The attak really hooks up with the 136" Ripsaw.
Overall:
I was very impressed with the Attak GT and I would recommend one to anybody. I beleive it is the ultimate trail machine. I still like my RTX more but I also love to pound the ditches and hammer through the rough stuff. IMO If Yamaha came out with an Attak RTX it would be the perfect sled!
