Would someone be willing to give me a list of parts that I would need to go to a 159" track on my 03 RX-1M? Do I need to get anything besides the track, rail extensions, and hyfaxes? Is it worth the effort?
How about if I went to 162"? Do I need a tunnel extension in either case?
Thank you!

buy the whole kit ....... from Mnt. Performance
Go to Mnt. Performance or Hartman Inc. for the whole kit (all mounting hardware tunnel extension ect.), You could also get a set of Extrovert drivers there as well , which you'll have to have. Then buy the track from Tracks USA for a good price and you have it . About 4 hours install time and it's a different monster . Tracks USA has a 159x2" track right now for 425.00 , and I know you can't beat that I've looked !!! Good luck

If you go with the rail extensions, you will not need a new set of hyfax. All you should need is: Rail extensions, tunnel extension and track. It would also behoove you to get a set of extroverts. I sold my track for the same price I bought a newer used track for. All-in-all, you can go from a 151 to a 159 for under $400.

It is well worth it,these sleds are heavy and can use all the track you can get especially if you ride deep powder and boondock.I am running a 162x16x2.3,and I love it.

I am not sure that I will have the time or money to do it this summer; but, I appreciate your input. Thank you all for your help.

Thinking the same thing but the longer track does not change the issue of the steep approach angle. I am thinking of trying Dallas' mod of putting an M7 153" skid and pulling it back a bit to fit a 162" track. Not sure about 16" or 15".
The approach angle is just ugly on this sled if you set it next to an 05' or any other skid and it feels like it would prefer to dig down rather than forward.

I got the MPI 162" extension kit w/ a new 162" x 15" 2.52 pitch track. The whole kit/track was $ 820 with shipping from MPI. Unlike Jonny, I won't be able to recover some of the expense by selling the stock track. I'm keeping it for a spare for the wife's 900 RMK since it is a 151".
