Hi, everyone. First off my son is looking at buying a 2009 nytro rtx se with almost 11000 kms on it. It's got a brand new 136" ripsaw 2 track on it, 136" oft extension, oil lite bushings and c&a skis. Just looking to get oppinions on it and if it would be worth getting if we can work out a price. The owner is asking $7000 for it but I was thinking more in the $5000 range.
Thanks

7,000 is very steep. 5,000 is getting better but I feel like it would need to be in perfect shape to even warrant 5,000.

I'm looking to get 5600 to 5800 out of my nytro with 6300 miles on it , if my math is right that sled has close to 7200 miles on it so I would think in the 5000 range is fair

$5000 is too much...I paid $1000 and a Vector GT that I paid $4200 for in trade for a 2009 RTX with 190miles on it last spring. I rode the Vec for a season and didn't like it. some dealers around here were offering snow check deals of $6999 for 2014 Nytros...5K or under for any used Nytro is fair.

yes, $5000 was what I was thinking, but remember that in Canada everything is a little more expensive ahah. What would you suggest to look at if he was to go look at the sled?

$7000 is not that steep, This isn't the us here!! This is Canada prices we are talking here, From searching for a sled myself, Ive seen the sled you are talking about and you are getting a lot for the money in my opinion. As im sure you know, nytros are going for around $8000 in your area. Good luck to your son on his search, But for$5000 I think your gonna be stuck with an 08. There is one 09 for $5100,but no where near as nice as the other one.

Sub frame, bushings, and at that mileage rear skid for wear/egged out holes...Me I'd stay away from any sled with more than 5000 miles on it, if you keep looking you'll find one with less miles. Heck I'd sell you mine for $7000 US right now!!

yes, might be getting a lot for the money, but as the old saying goes you can do all the mods to the sled that you want but in the end it doesn't make it any more valuable when selling

Well either way your gonna have to pay the going rate for an 09 nytro. And that is around $8000!! Period!! And ive never heard that one? LOl!! Good Luck!!

Well most people take care of there stuff and replace the things that are starting to wear out . I myself go though everything on my sleds and replace if there is any sign of wear ,,,,,,some tools don't they just ride then sell , so on some sleds miles mean nothing

I have one for sale PM me

I feel pretty good about the deal I got after reading this thread. '09 RTX with 1900 miles for $4500 :-o . I say keep looking.

That is too much even for Canada. I find the pricing is comparable now. Last week I missed a 2009 yamaha xtx with 4400km for $6,000. It even had some goodies and a 1.75 backcountry track. I've seen other deals that were comparable. There is a 2011 on kijiji right now for $7500 with low miles - but I passed on it because I really want a deep lug track.

I'd say $4500-5500 depending on how maintenance has been done. For example The 09's have very bad hand warmers....no good at all for cold rides. Some of the copper donuts (exhaust o rings at the header) go badl...will know if exhaust is loud at front of seat...under tank. Carbides, skis, trail tank etc.

Ya too much for that , I just picked up a 2009 rtx se right from a dealer friend of mine for $5800 fully serviced with 6000 kms on it and its spotless ,studded ,two windshields etc. just north of Peterborough ont.
