Hi there, I just got into snowmobiling recently about a year ago with a 2007 Phazer FX. I ride 2000kms a season roughly. (2015 is my second season) So after learning on the Phazer I want to move up to a more powerful sled and have considered the Nytro (2008 and up) but don't know much about them and haven't ridden one yet. Is there anything I should avoid or know about these sleds. (I don't like the tippyness of the Phazer so is the Nytro similar in tippyness?) Does the first year 2008 model have problems being a first year sled and what can I maybe expect to pay for a decent Nytro?
Thanks

Hi
I did the same as you had a 07 phazer to get my feet wet in the 4 stroke world really liked the pazer than went with a 08 nytro this season now this is just me love the power of the nytro it takes a lot of time and patience and money to get it to handle on twisty trail but you get out on wide open trail hang on
I had some issues with mine exhaus dounut some front end bushings and stock skis JUNK put yamaha tuners on it help a lot but never could get that happy medium of trail and wide open riding
I just sold mine going with something different so hopefully that helps some it a love hate relationship with nytro for me

Nytro is not as tippy as the phazer, but still requires a good bit of body english. Power is fantastic on the nytro. I made the same swap a few years ago and am very happy. Put a set of curve skis and oft relocator on and you can get the nytro to rail. Then, you can ccustomize from there.

I traded in the phazer for a new 2013 nytro this year. And love it. Not tippy. The newer nytros handle great. Most people upgraded stuff to the earlier models to handle much better. So if you buy used just find out what they did. Used and new nytros priced really good.

I love my 13xtx. Fits my body great rides and handles great with little adjustment and that grunt from that motor makes me smile every time I wack the throttle. Try to get a newer one if possible.

I have to agree with you on this, love the grunt and with the 1.75 track it hooks up crazy. They pull 2 stroke sleds very well too!;)

I just upgraded my 09 fx to a 13 xtx do yourself the favor now and just buy the long track the first time around

If your looking to buy one soon I have two sleds for sale a 2012 nytro xtx with 6500 kms and a 12 vector power steering with 5700 kms both like new and i'm just over buy Peterborough .

+1
I stretched my shorty to a 136" 1.5 and it is amazingly better. But, I'd love to have a 144 1.75BC, so, if I could go back in time, I'd buy the XTX with the 1.75.

Wow that didn't take long, thanks for replying so fast. Yeah I'm looking for the xtx long track not a short track so I wouldn't hopefully have to dig it out so often after it gets stuck. How does the 1.75 track handle on the trail?

Do you have any pics of the xtx?

I'd even take your phazer on trade so my wife has something to ride for the rest of the season .

The 1.75 track works great on the trail, I wouldn't want any other track for trail riding.
