i think i have an attak that came from the factory with 100% antifreeze instead of the 60/40 mix (thanks for the ruined late season trip, yamaha). in looking at the service manual, it calls for a special adapter to fill the coolant with the tail of the sled raised. im assuming that at this point the bleed bolt is higher than the fill port and gravity wont let the coolant fill the system completely. is this the case and i need this adapter to force coolant up to the bleeder port?

Basically if you are carefull and keep track of what you removed and make sure you replace the same amount you'll be fine. What I would do is get a transfer hand pump from the Auto store, ($10-$15 bucks) good to have anyway. Pull out as much as posible through the first resivour. Then remove the hose from the first resivour and remove the remaining amount from there. There is no special tool needed just some basic know how and tools. If you look in the maual you will see that the sled holds 6.34 U.S. Quarts or 202.88 oz, ( 6.0 Liters) which means for a 60/40 mix you should remove about 2.5 quarts or 81 oz (2.4 Liters) and add Distilled water in its place. Do not use tap water, spend the $1.25 and get a gallon of distilled. If you can't get all of the needed fluid back in to the system, park the sled so that the fill cap is the highest point of the coolent system and start the sled and work the air out this way. Remember to feel the hoses for heat to make sure you have circulation and most importantly let the machine cool for a little bit before removing the cap.
Hope this helps.

It probably wouldn't hurt to throw in some Water Wetter at the same time as an added precaution against overheating.
