I was riding tonight and I stopped to check my milage. As I looked down my oil light, coolant light came on along with an ER -01. I turned the machine off and re-started it and nothing. I started to move again and the codes came back. Turned it off and looked for leaks. Everything looked fine. Started the machine again and everything was fine. I Went straight home just to be safe.
Anyone ever have this happen.

My dads sled does this all the time. It over heated. Some simple checks to do include: check coolant level, check your vent under your headlight-this should not be blocked, also listen to see if your fan comes on.
On my dads sled the fuse relay for the fan...the one farthest back... was out and the 2 big wire harnesses were blocking the radiator.
Haven't had a chance to see if this fixed the problem yet.

The thing is my sled was not hot or low on oil. I took to a buddies heated shop and left it there over night to melt all the snow. I noticed my RB3 was covered in snow. I'm going to make some vent screens to keep the snow out.
It is running perfect now. I think snow and ice got where it should not be and caused codes and lights to flash.

ER1 is the code for ECU malfunction. I had this code once on one of my previous FX Nytros. After an extensive powder session, the nose cone was full of snow and simply pushed the harness connection off from the ECU. Another guy on this forum happened to pinch a cable in the ECU harness and got the same code.
Start by checking the harness that runs into your ECU (just behind the tool bag in the front of the sled). Even if you find no damages, disconnect it, dry it with a hair dryer and try again.
