Has anyone checked their copper exhaust gasket after about 4000 to 5000 miles? How are they holding up?
Have they caused any problems with the y-pipe flanges or the flex pipes? Have an '05 Vector that I picked up with 4000 miles on it. OEM gaskets were mostly gone. One flex pipe, flex part was broke loose. My brother has a
'05 RX Warrior. It had 11000 miles when he bought it. Donuts were gone and titanium y-pipes had some cracks and wore very thin in other spots.

This question should be moved to the General forum....

I just ordered copper replacements last week. I searched the entire forum and couldn't really find anything negative, other than the fact that they may not seal as tight as new OEM graphoil donuts. I have yet to read a concerning complaint about them. I ordered the more expensive NA sourced ones myself. Not sure if there is a discernable difference between the ones I purchased and the other ones sourced from China.

Replaced my donuts this year and placed the copper ones from Sled Toyz ( not sure if from China or NA). Did notice more of a "puffing" noise coming from the flex pipe area after installation. Thought it was my imagination at first, but figured they might not be sealing quite as well as the graphite ones due to the copper material being much harder. I can live with that if I don't have to change them every second season.Metallicat said:I just ordered copper replacements last week. The donuts from SledToyz are made in China. I bought them and the quality is excellent and the ones from SledToyz are proven.

- 2016 RS Vector XTX 1.25 Lug wifes..2013 RS Vector LTX.. 2003 600 VMax Past Machines 3-2007 Attaks 1-2010 Vector LTX.. sorry no Stinkdoos or poo's cats.
I put the Sled Toyz donuts on beginning of this season. I have about 1500 miles on them and they have performed perfect.
I haven't read anything negative about them I don't see any leaking with them either.

I bought the NA copper from OFT racing high quality. One thing to mention is to grind off 2-3mm from the pipe connectors it will give you a tighter connection at the header to flex pipe connections. measure carefully and grind as flat as possible finish with a file if need be.

I also purchased the OFT copper donuts. Ordered them Friday afternoon and they were at my house on Monday. I went with OFT just because I try to avoid anything China even if it means paying more. They are probably all the same though.
