cost to re valve mono shock

2007 attak, what type of cost are we talkin to get pioneer to re valve the mono shock ?

does it take long for them to get shock back to you ?
how much better is it ?
will they supply the heavier spring or use oem ?

Just had mine done. Revalve was $50.00 or $60.00 plus shipping. Spring was supplied by Yamaha per Bruce's instructions and part number. About $100.00 for the spring.

Haven't tried it yet but you should call Bruce and talk to him yourself. Give him your weight, riding style and what you dislike about the stock setup and he'll do the rest.

When snow comes I'll let you know how it worked!

Try Frank at shock tec. hes in Drayton ontaro. he quoted me $20 for the revalve, $45 for a shock rebuild, and $150 for a heavier spring if you need it. the website is www.shocktec.ca

All you guys saying to have Pioneer Revalve.... are you talking about front and rear shock??? My Ohlins rear ended up blowing apart the end of last season (real bad). Yamaha agreed to cover the cost of the new parts which was all rebuilt by Pioneer in NY. They did revalve it to my weight and riding style and I can't wait to try it but...... are you guys revalving the front shocks too????

Mine(Electric Olihns) was 89.95$ plus shipping. The elec's are a bit more than the ER style.

I bought my 7.1 spring at my dealer, talk to your dealer for a price break---a deal is 70$, 100$ is not.

Took a week.
Before I sent it out, I could compress easily, now, I can't compress w/two hands, have to put an end on the floor, then push down with alot of weight to get it to compress.

Bruce is #1, in my book...

'07 Attak. Had Pioneer do my shock and added bigger spring.
Was done in less than a week. Shipping there and back.
I think it was approx. $130.00 with shipping, revalve, and spring.

I weigh approx 225lbs. He set the spring at the #2 c-clip and cam
adjuster at #1. It is alot stiffer than stock, just pushing down on the rear
bumper.

mine enroute back from pioneer as we speak. I had my Attaks shock resprung and revealved. I belive the total was around $190. Took about a week, my shock should be here on Wed

You should be fine with the stock spring. Ther is still plenty of adjustment for your weight. Usually the skids are designed with an average weight of rider being around 180 lbs.

This is just about as soft as you can get with the fatboy spring. Mine is on the 2 clip and cam is at 4. Same as the original spring and its pretty stiff. Its actually borderline to bucking if I'm lazy on the sled.


Just do the revalve and go up to the 3 clip and from there adjust your cam. Bruce will probably tell you the same thing. Its 50.00 for the revalve.
