Is a clutch puller needed to take the clutch off the RS motor or is it splined?
If puller is need, is the phazer/nitro puller the same?
Does anyone know where to get the grunt & spider tools for the RS clutch?
Did anyone ever come up with the fix for transfer rod clunking noise on the mono shock?

primary clutch you need a puller. Secondary you do not. It is the same puller as phazer/nytro. The clutch tools are pretty much the same as all other clutches, and can be found in lots of different places like Dennis Kirk, Western Power Sports, places all over the internet can ship them to you. I don't know about the noise.
good luck.
good luck.
There was something about putting a rubber gasket in the tube, i think on the shaft of the transfer rod to stop the clunking. Do a search maybe you will find something.

That sounds like a good idea. Thank you
I did do a search, but came up short on it.

It was actually a rubber o-ring that someone installed. Not sure of the long-term durability of it, but it sounds like a good idea. The 2008+ sleds allegedly clunk less. I heard Yamaha used a nylon dampener in the later models. Mine clunks, but only at low speeds over small stutters. It isn't very noticable on the trail.

I just installed an Ulmer Stage 2 clutch kit on my RS Nytro two weeks ago. Hardest part was getting the belt off until I realized I didn't lock the track using the brake
Put the brake on, spin the clutch clockwise and the sheeves open and you slide the belt right off. Then you can add the new helix or whatever else you need to replace with your new clutch.
If you go to Ulmerracing website and click on instructions theres a secion with how to install a kit with pictures. Not sure if this helps you but it helped me get a better idea what I needed to do and what I was getting into.
