cpr apex trail turbo hits 130 mph in 1000 ft speed run!!

this weekend at the colma speed run we hit 130 mph in 1000 ft. not bad for just a trail turbo and a completely stock apex engine, boost was set at 12 psi and was running acouple gallons of race gas in the tank due to the higher compression ratio of the stock engine. with a lower compression set up you can run this boost level on pump gas all the time. personally i prefer to run the stock engine at 8 psi for trail riding which makes 240 hp, then turn it up to 12 psi for radar runs with alittle race gas to make over 270hp. the simons cpr turbo apex is really proving to be a potent duel purpose package.

Congradulations, Nice Job.
A testimate to the quality of your new turbo set up.

Nice job Jeff! Talked to Ed Ensor as I was traveling to Colorado, he asked how fast I thought my Attak would go in 1000 ft on ice. I told him it should be in the 130-135 neiborhood. Glad you could confirm this on a poor track. He went 135 on a CPR lake race rx-1 kit this last weekend at 19 lbs boost, the owner is much larger guy and was running only 129. Ed set fast time of the weekend, edging out Craig Marchbanks 1500 Pro-Stocker. He's now hooked. Goes to show you how much faster the EFI machine really is boost for boost. Mike
