Cracked Front arm on my mono

Hate to say it but I snapped the beefed up kit right in half like the above picture. Now that being said I ride hard and I weigh in at close to 300 pounds. Shock was built for my weight and everything. Ended up replacing the whole rear skid with an M20 beefed up too.

livinlife, is that your skid on the main page? That is what I would love for my skid to look like.

My sled looks awesome for the miles on it, but the skid shows those miles. After my shock mount break this winter, I know it needs to be gone over.

This is the one on their page:

Barry,

Do you have a package for the TY members on a beef up kit and coating? I suppose I could have hit up your website if you have prices listed there.

Let's say I have an 07 Apex Gt with enough miles on it to warrant a look over of all the welds and a powder coat to finish it off nice. What should that run me and what prep work should I do to get it to you?

Is it common to powder coat the rails as well? Should we leave it assembled? I would assume we should pull it all apart and only ship you the components that need the beef up and coating.

What can we expect once we get the parts back? Do we need to scrape coating out of threads, or holes that bolts will go through before assembly?

Sorry for all the questions, but this may be what many are thinking that have not taken their skid out, let alone taken it apart for this sort of procedure.

The skid on your home page kicks #*$&@!! For those of us with an 07 in that dark cherry red, is Translucent Red over Silver the color to go with?

Thank you for your support of the board!

Mark

The kit is $240 shipped in the USA

The Transluscent red over silver is an extra $60

You do not have to coat the rails, but it sure does look frickin cool for an extra $100 shipped

We believe our kit is actually stronger than the NEWER oem arm.. We have had them side by side for comparison..

It takes about 2 weeks turnaround

And thanks alot.. we take alot of pride in our work..

Thats what my arms and rails looked like. I had red slides and red wheels on mine and it looked GREAT!!! You wont be disapointed with the work halfbaked turns out. .

Thanks for the responses guys. I took some time and went through the other 24 page thread. OMG for nice work and responses.

So the last question I have, what about small cracks in the rails? Should I replace the rail, or can it be welded and reinforced? I'm still running it, the welder just pointed it out to me when he was putting a new shock mount in.

Thanks Brian. I see a spring project coming your direction. That may be next week the way this weather is going.

Ive had rails welded before..just make sure they V- cut down threw each side of the cracks and weld em from there..
