ted are you saying that the extra cost of the 321 stainless will be 500 dollars for that little bit of steel that is in an rx header? if so WHOLLY COW

I am building my own 321 header for my race sled and I have 700.00 in materials alone no labor yet.

So what you're saying is your cost on the 321 is $500 more than with 304. If so, that means all these turbo companys are getting $700-$800 for welding them up.

NO I was just generalizing approximate increase in cost based on what I paid for materials although I do have a few special tricks up my sleeve

cast headers////////

HAVE A CASTING PLANT NOT FAR FROM MY SHOP MY SHOP , HAVE LOOKED INTO IT, INITIAL COST ISN 'T THAT BAD BUT AT THIS POINT, WHERE YAMAHA HAS BEEN CHANGING THE SLED DESIGN, IT IS NOT COST EFFECTIVE, I WOULD HAVE TO HAVE DEPOSITS FOR AT LEAST, 25 SETS OF HEADERS TO BE WORTH, CASTING . THEM AND THERE IS STILL A CHANCE THEY MIGHT CRACK, TURTLE
