I think the fact that it isn't a "stock" sled would be the major hang up. No different than moddin a motor or skid, you can't race a sled with a completely different front geometry in "stock", it just doesn't make sense were would you draw the line? I yam wants to race it in stock class they need to release it to the public. See, the rules actually help the consumer!
it is realeased, it costs 9,000 bucks. lol :die

It's available not to the public but someone with a race resume. I called a dealer and got a price of $6900 for the kit. But I was only looking to see if you could buy certain parts like the a arms, spindles, and subframe. Right now you can only buy the whole kit, there are no part numbers for individual parts. This is why I'm wondering if yamaha will release the parts to buy to the public. If they do then I would consider buying the factory kit v. the skinz front end. I would just like to know if they are going to release the kit or put the kit on a new sled. So if anybody has some contacts within yamaha corporate and could find out I think that you put a lot of peoples minds to rest. If they are not bringing out a new sled, what a better way to please their customers then by releasing a new front end.

exup has been around since the 80s! :yam:

Ok....didnt know that..on a four stroke street bike??? In the 80s??
I know they had ypvs on yz's (two strokes)

Yamaha Power Valve was a tech that Yamaha was pioneers in the 70's on the RD bikes. But even if they were pioneers in that tech they was last to implement that on 2-stroke snowmobiles.

So Yamaha have the know how in most deps but sometimes they are to conservative.
