I just couldnt put up with it for 200 miles a day
 
I love it i installed the exact muffler on mine a few months ago was pulling the sled out this week and was amazed how great it sounds under load way better than just revving it on the stand Let me know if you changed your fuel mapping thanks
 
I doubt it will sound any different at all once the packing breaks in. The sound is based on the internal construction and length of pipe, not external construction, so if your Yosh RS5 is designed for a Honda CBR 600/1000 RR, then the mufflers are basically the same. Mine is Titanium btw, not stainless.
 
im just saying that the carbon pipe does sound different ask any sport bike guys the sound of a ti ss or cf pipe is slightly different . i do agree im makeing a judgement on the video you posted . and comparing it to mine driving . i love the sound of yours thats why i put one on my sled this spring i am no way putting down your pipe its awesome sound . i think sport bikee exhaust on these sleds are the best bang for your buck

I don't have to ask any sportbike guys cause I am one, since about 10 years now ;):D JK man, but all jokes aside, I've had carbon fiber pipes, Titanium pipes, my friends had SS pipes, they're all pretty much the same if we're comparing two identical pipes (same length, same shape) with only different external construction. Something to keep in mind though is that Carbon Fiber pipes need quite a bit more attention and preventive maintenance than the rest, where you can let the packing go on SS and Ti for quite a bit longer than the recommended replacement interval, but with CF pipes, as soon as you notice the Carbon starting to turn "brown", you better repack it ASAP before it gets brittle and cracks, believe me, been there done that ! :o| Still, if it weren't for the awesome deal I snagged on ebay for my Ti pipe, I would have been all over a carbon fiber RS5. Hey, make sure you post up some pics of your sled, ryetarded. :rocks:

I never even thought about repacking.... what is the recommended hours in between repacks?
 
All those mufflers recommend being repacked after 10 Hours of riding. Sounds crazy, but they really burn out fast. You can see fiberglass filaments hanging out the pipe lots of times......

Well considering we're using these during the winter months, I'd say you can let a Ti, Al, or SS pipe go for a few seasons or maybe even longer without issues (at least I have on my R1), but with CF, I'd do it every year if you're a high miler, or every second season just to be safe. It usually costs about $40 per pipe for the packing ( I got dinged twice being there's 2 mufflers on the R1), but it's well worth the $$$.
 
So Yoshimura does not make a pipe just for the Nytro or Apex for that matter.. Only sport bikes.

that is correct you need to buy one for a sport bike and fab it to work on your sled. ;)!
