Has any one made there own custom skid plate? And what materials did you use? I have some sheets of dimond plate and trying to find some use for it.
thats seems like alot of unnecessary weight to add to the sled.. the plastic skid plates weigh very little, couple pounds max..

Yeah I thought about that, so I think im only gunna cover the important stuff. The plate is used for steps and floors so its preaty thin and light.
for steps? its not expanded metal is it?

On my Attak I didn't think the plate was needed. But the Rage is another stiory; Right on the other side of the access panel is the oil filter which is dangerously close..............The engine is too far away on the Attak that I think you'd be ok.

metal just isn't a good idea. it doesn't bounce back like plastic, its dangerous if it were to come off, and it weighs more.
