Cut in crank case breather tube.

Well here we go, this is my first post. Just purchased an '05 RX-1 this year and love it compared to my SRX.

Well, I was riding and noticed that it was not as responsive out of the corners. Seemed like it needed to be cleaned out, as if the plugs were fooling. Looked at the plugs they were fine. I took off the air box cover and noticed a cut in the breather tube and some oil in the bottom of the air box. The cut is not normal is it? Also how much oil if any should be coming from the breather?

yes that cut is normal and I think its there for an icying issue and it should be on the bottom side I believe?

I dont understand why the oil? Maybe someone else here knows why? My Rage has none.
