I have a 2010 Impulse Nytro with the WRP low seat. I find it wide and bulky for my style of riding. I plan to use a grinder and attempt to thin the foam on the sides and maybe a bit off the top. Anyone have any experience with shaping a snowmobile seat?

I have trim them before for drag racing on srx's.
I used a wood saw.

I work for a foam company and we use die grinders with 50 or 80 grit discs or a Bosch tool that resembles an electric meat cutter (two oscillating blades). A bandsaw also works well if the shape of the seat will allow you to reach the blade.
