My dad is looking to upgrade his sled. He is looking for somthing in the $3,000 - $4,000 range. He obviously would like a 4 stroke and would like it to be fuel injected. My guestion is he is 6'4" and wants something that sits higher up and easier transtion from sitting to standing. His current sled is a skidoo 97 formula 3 600. What would you reccomend?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Vector. You should be able to find something this spring near that price range. Maybe even an rx1.

RX-1's are carbed.......Vector's after 2010 (I believe) are injected but I doubt you'll find one that new in your price range......good luck.

To meet all of your criteria your probably looking for an 06 Apex.

Thats what im thinking how does the seat height of an apex compare to a nytro?

It's lower and not as easy to transition from sitting to standing. And at 6'4" he would need a riser to stand. He could also add foam to the seat or possibly there's an aftermarket seat that's higher.

mountain mod makes a taller seat for the apex. brother has one on his war and it is pretty comfortable.

Give him a deal on your Nytro. Sounds like the ticket for him.
After all he is your dad !!!!!!!
Use it as an opportunity to upgrade yourself !!!!
If not that, look for a deal on a 2006 Attak and add some height to the seat and a 2" riser if you do not want to change the throttle cable .

I'm 6'5" and my Apex hurts my hips after about 80 miles. Taking my seat to a guy tomorrow to see about getting some foam added. IMO your dad should get a Nytro if possible or plan on putting some money into a seat/ riser setup after getting a Vector or Apex.

I am on a search for an 06 apex or 08 nytro. Right now in my area there is a 06 apex with lots of upgrades for $3900 and and 08 nytro with some mods for $4000.
I'm going to the dealer later this week to sit on a apex to see how different it is from the nytro. Im 6'2" and my hips hurt after riding my nytro for 100miles. Are the apex engine just as good as the genesis engine in the nytro?
Im familiar with all the mods that need to be done on a nytro (exhaust donuts, Ball joints, Bushings, exhaust donuts, skis, etc.) What needs to be done on the apex?

Strange......with the higher seat on the Nytro I would think it would bother you less.........whatever.....
Apex engine is even stronger than the Nytro one.....not as "twitchy" but pulls longer and harder.......as to "standard" mods......pretty much the same...
