Bring it to a bodyshop if you want the paint to match up well. Hard to diy it if you are not familiar with body works.
You could also try and get a good used one from Barn of Parts.

for what it going to cost it looks like the hood is off a apex call barn of parts and get a good used for $100.00 - 150.00 and call it a day it will cost you more to fix it.

I agree with darv in that you would probably be better off contacting @hibshman25 (Travis) of Barn of Parts and buy a good used one. For comparison, he listed a 2008 Apex 4oth hood @ $250 but suspect that's because it is a limited edition hood whereas other years might be around the price darv mentions. Of course, the only problem with getting a used one is having it match in color but I would not be surprised if Travis has what you are looking for or darn close it. ;)!

I reached out to Travis and he is going to look and see if you has one

henseljg2 get in touch with him he has the best used Apex parts.

I have a blue one that is in perfect shape hanging in my garage you can have for $50 if you ever get close to the 53003 zip code

Is that the 06 color? If so I might have one hanging in the wall.

It appears that color may have been used in other years where the only thing that was changed was the decals. The older years may match up where all you would need to do is order new decals. I saw some on ebay that were from an 06 Apex but the color appeared to be the same as what you had posted.

I decided to give it a try and see how the repair will turn out

I went to Fleet farm and picked up a small tube of body filler and some primer for plastic. I took the hood over to a local auto store and had them match the paint (pretty close) and picked up a can of clear coat. The paint job doesn't look as deep as the factory job but for a rattle can I think it turn out pretty good.

Issue I did run into was when I went to wet sand the clear coat down a little my paint must of not been hard yet as I messed up the nose of the hood. I decided to let it completely dry and then sanded that part down again and repainted it. I should of taken a little more time between coats to let completely dry.
