What gives? 8" Woody's, shimmed skis, rechecked alignment, Darts like a shifty eyed rapist. The only alternative is new skis. I guess Pilots are the answer?

How thick of a shim did you use? With my 10" carbides I had to use a chunk of old belt in there to quit the darting.
This year I went simmons skis.

Are you using the duelies? If so, your sled should be ok without shims. Even with duelies, they are only a stop gap. Everyone runing aftermarket skis will tell you that is the way to go. GET NEW SKIS !!!

I use DEUCE runners from Stud Boy and it eliminates 90% of darting and install a 12 or 13mm SWAY BAR, then back off front shock spring preload next to none with front end of the ground, (no weight on)
BIG difference in HANDLING/cornering and DARTING!!!
I also shortened my limiter strap 1 hole...

I ran the 8" woodys doolys with the stock ski's (no shims) all of last season and didnt have a darting problem at all. Other issues as in some pushing in the corners and heavy/hard steering but no darting. Try em' without the shims.

I cut pieces from a heavy rubber mat aprox 1/4" thick to use as my shims. I'm riding an '07 Apex ER. I don't have the Dooly Woody's, just looking at them made me think they would certainly add alot of steering effort. I'll start shopping for skis, thanks for all the suggestions.
