I have a 2006 Attak that has no power to the DC/lighter plug. I checked the wiring and it seems I have no juice at the fuse box. The fuse is good but if I test the contacts in the fuse box with a volt meter, I got nothing. I checked contacts with key on (not running) & with sled running. Do these plugs only have power when sled is running? Also was wondering is there any extra wiring leads that are ready to hook up heated viser plugs? Anybody know where to find wiring diagram or have suggestions? Lots of questions.... need answers, THANKS!

O.K. thanks. So power to DC/Lighter plug when sled is running. Might just run GPS or visor off from jumper leads with in line fuse. The plug would be nice if it worked so I could run GPS, Go Pro or visor. Oh well. Thanks for info.

Yep. I think I will run a lead from the battery with a fuse in it. Thanks for the info guy's. If I get more time and ambition this summer I might try to find the bad spot in the harness. For now, TIME TO RIDE!!!

What I did on my two sleds is wire up to not the battery positive lead but to where the positive lead connects to the starter relay. Then I don't have two connections to make when installing/removing the battery and it looks cleaner.

Good Luck!!

Up where the ignition plugs into the harness there are two wires out of the four that are battery power. One is red and the other is tan. You can get power from here to run your acc with out running a long wire down to the battery. Just remember to run an inlline fuse.

X2! I have all of my extra hot feeds connected at the starter solenoid and not directly to the battery. Always put an inline fuse at the connection point. I re-wired my accessory socket direct to here with a fuse. Now I can run my GPS or charge a phone with the sled turned off. I also ran a dedicated line to a female RCA jack for my heated sheild. I reversed the polarity on the RCA jack so that the center male pin on the cord end is the ground so that when you disconnect at the helmet and drop the cord on the running board it will not short out and blow the fuse. Direct to the battery on the heated sheild also allows you to remove your helmet and leave it plugged in on a trail stop and keep the sheild warm with the sled turned off.
