Just a thought , hows your dealer experience been. We often hear the bad stuff but how about the good .
Of course please feel free to share the bad stuff too , could save another rider some grief .
However I'd like to tell you about my dealer , McGregors Sportsline in Bobcaygen Ontario . They are without a doubt the most honest dealer I have ever dealt with and thats not just snowmobiles .Their product knowledge is excellent, no nonsense pricing what you see is what you get , no fine print additions like admin. fees, pdi fees ,frieght, etc ... just tax and lic. and thats it .
Do you think if you had a mishap on the trail , your dealer would go a few hours and get your sled for warranty ? McGregors did , and it was just a fluke no fault of theirs what so ever , but they came to the rescue anyway. Because of their sales and service expertize I have wrote to Yamaha and told them that if Mcgregors were not a yamah dealer , I'd be riding whatever it is they are selling that's how good they are .
I've worked as a mechanic in the automotive industry all my working yrs , over 30 yrs so I am critical but fair and believe in giving credit where credit is due .
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MARK & PAUL ;)!

X2. I even met one of their employees in a pick-up truck on the Rail-line last year long after closing time and darkness had fallen who was looking to help someone whose sled had broken down. You don't see customer service like that too often. Paul even came right to my house to fix a filter problem with my wife's Vector. They treat you the way you hope to be treated.

I have the Best Yamaha dealer in the state just down the road from me. They will do whatever it takes to get you up and running and have an amazing parts stock which is rare as it costs a fortune to ship up here. They also race what they sell and love to talk about all that machines they ride and compete on. They are also a KTM, Suzuki and Cat dealer. Reason I own a KTM and GSXR.

That's good to know ;)!

Although I bought my sled used and do most of my work myself, I do deal with Asselstine's in Burketon and they have always treated me great with anything I have ever needed.

Kens Yamaha in Norway Maine always treated us very good....

Both Arnprior Sportland and Carleton Place Marine have been absolutely great to me! I get treated much better there then at the dealership I bought my sled at.

vallely sport and marine in Bismarck ND. nice people, but when i purchased my nytro there there were idiots and didnt know anything about the sled.

Tri-City Cycle in Kitchener has always done a good job for me. I order parts with no deposit, return parts with no re-stocking fee, they let me in the shop to ask the mechanics questions. Funny how most places can't let you into the shop for 'Insurance Reasons'. I bet more people get hurt in the shampoo isle at the grocery store.

I envy you all with a good dealer. I only have 2 dealers within a 2 hr drive of me and I can't say I am thrilled with either one.

Just another quick note about McGregors , they still have a couple of apex's 2011 11300.00 and an se 11500.00 if your in the market hurry up they won't last long

i agree with you cubby
I actually have 5 yamaha dealerships within 45 minutes of my home in M.A
3 of the 5 are all owned by the same guy
none of the 5 is worth a crap. :o|
every time you enter any of them you feel like your imposing on them. nobody wants to help you. they dont stock parts. theres no sense of urgency.
its brutal. i avoid the local dealers at all cost.

where i ride up in maine things are better. most of the dealers are nice and helpfull and willing to work with you.
because of my situation i fix everything myself. and usually buy everything online.
my last 2 sled purchases were made out of state. N.H and N.Y.
I tried to deal local but no one would even attempt to come close to the prices i was quoted in other states.
its too bad because i would love to just drop off my sled at the dealer and know it would be taken care of instead of laying on my back out in the snow and cold in the middle of winter fixing it myself but it is what it is.

I'm with you thunderbolt Paul and mark the whole staff and even mom are great people. I have been dealing with them for the last ten years bought multiple sleds off them . They are very fair. Can't wait try out my new 2011 se this year. I have been doing a lot service myself because of this site but if I do have a question Paul or mark are always there to help.

Asolutely, I've been a wrench for a long time and I don't profess to know it all and I know that the McGregor boys are more than happy to help anytime anyplace and Mrs. mcGregor is just the best too

I heard they were awesome and perhaps next year I'll drive up for a visit. I've spoken to them on the phone and via email several times with questions adn they've been very accommodating and helpful and fast! If my local dealers don't give me good prices I'll be driving over to Mcgregors.

Murse, I assume since your from cornwall you have probly done some business with Irwin supply over the years. How do you like there dealership? Me personaly have had a bad experiance with them when they screwed me over on my nytro and also they got my brother in law aswell with his rhino and needless to say we are never goin back there again. The worst part is, when they didn't fix my sled right on over $2300 worth of stuff I tried calling them and I could not get an answr out of anybody, so I drove down there and when I walked in I was talking to the parts guy and the owner saw me and turned around and went into his office and wouldnt come out to talk to me. Stuff like that just gets on your nerves and people wonder how some companys are so succesfull and some do not last.
