Dealer Parts Inventory Sucks

Anybody else frustrated with lack of common cheap parts at your local Yamaha dealer? When I need a cheap, common part such as a plastic windshield screw or a black clip nut that I accidentally dropped into the bellypan, the dealer never has it in stock. I always have to go to the local dealer and order it. Always must give them a credit card number in case I try to stiff them for a $1.99 plastic screw. Then I have to make another trip to the dealer a week later to pick it up. What a hassle. Why can't all Yamaha dealers stock cheap commonly needed parts? Obviously customer satisfaction is not high priority and reduced parts inventory (cost) is. I am located in central Michigan. Gets old after 30+ years dealing with Yamaha. BRP stock parts?

i am in mi also , i make a list and order everything from KEVIN at port yamaha , they have never let me down yet.
in mi the only place that has anything would be hackers.

Well they can't stock everything ...all those little parts add up and can put a place out of bis...they may only sell 2or3 a year so not worth stocking....

i try to avoid my dealers now. they all suck and i just try to buy everyone online, plus i get it cheaper anyways. maybe thats why i voided my warranty on my new mtx as soon as possible so i wouldnt ever have to go back there

my dealers always got lil stuff like that. push darts, dzuz fasteners, the "special washer" for the dzuz, the biggest assortment of rivets and rivnuts i have seen, a metric and standard bolt bin with nuts, nyloc nuts, washers lock washers ect for every bolt. threaded inserts that hold body pannels on n stuff. everything small like that is put into small boxes properly marked with everything inside it, never have to wait more then a minute for the parts girl to get somthing. could be just because my dealer in Yorkton is the largest powersports dealer in saskatchewan. same goes for honda, anything i need for the rubicon they usually have on hand, most of it is the same stuff. another yamaha dealer in the other direction from me (still 1.5 hour ride) is a much much smaller yamaha dealer, and doesnt stock much of the small stuff, just the must haves, like slider screws ect. theres always a difference between a dealer with 40 or 50 sleds, or bikes in the show room, compared to a dealer with under 15 in the whole store. i make a big list of parts i need, drop it off on a saterday morning when i go to the city, n pick it up on my way home. better then paying shipping.

All the dealers are like that around here, have to order most everything. There is one Yamaha only dealer that has most of the small stuff though which is nice and it's close to me.

Yea mine sucks to! I'm like eveyone else, u might as well oder from a place like port yamaha it is way cheaper than my dealership and I can get parts a lot quicker too. My first year with yamaha, love the phazer but not impressed with customer service.
