dealer says mobil 1 wont flow at -20f

There's all kinds of idiots in this world....your dealer just proved himself to be one.
 

The 0W is a measurement of the oils dynamic viscosity. This number will tell you that according to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) says that the oil will have to be able to pump 60,000 centipoise units with no yield stress at -40 degrees. In order for an oil manufacturer to label thier oil as a 0W it needs to meet or beat that standard.
So, your dealer saying it doesn't flow at -20 is B.S. and he does need to be shown a copy of the Mag/Moss act!

yes the dealer is the one in minocqua. as for my sled, im still holding my breath. kip at pat's said they are just now getting the head off so i should know by tomorrow how bad bad can get.

This is complete BS. Just a dealer trying to cover himself from paying a warranty claim and doing all the paper work.

They put Mobil-1 in flippin cars, don't they? Do we just park them in the garage and tell the boss we're staying home if it's -20? Obviously no.

Ridiculous.

Yep that Yam owner /dealer told me exactly the same thing about M1 0-30 3 years ago & I walked out never went back. It is one thing to discuss why one might want to consider Yam oil over another brand but that dealer completely lost it yelling & screaming & I'm thinking this guy is crazy I'm out of here. Pat's will take good care of you. You are in good hands. Forget whatever the other guy told you he is a few cards short of a deck & will continue lying to customers since fibbing for 3 years now about M1 0-30.
