The five of us that made the ride 12/10 had a GREAT time. Put on just over 100 miles, had lunch at Montague. Trails were outstanding for this time of year. I've never been out this soon and was really happy. Only a few small water holes which were easy to get around and this one wet spot on camp 4 road. Not very deep but pretty rocky. Watched several idiots gun it as they crossed, shooting rocks back at us!! Tim is really liking the Nytro, Kevin said he was happy with the Warrior, and Darren seems to be pleased with the Attak. Travis got to test out his turbo, but the '03 stock suspension was not giving him a great ride. We told him a few things to adjust or replace so he'll hopefully be ready for the next "official" TY ride.

Well, did you get the sled running right? Don't make threats unless you can back them up :D I figure we'll have good snow before Christmas and I plan on riding the 23rd-24th.

Instead of getting ready to ride at 9:00AM Saturday I was dropping the sled off at the dealer.
In May I dropped it off to have the new track put on and to have him summerize it and adjust the steering (a little cockeyed) and check the clutch alignment and do fluid changes. So while they were working on all this they tell me the reverse has got a cracked gear and fork. OK - No problem, just get it right so I don't have any problems next year.
Over 7 Ben Franklins later, they tell me it's set and don't start it up until ready to ride. Now I'm ready to ride and I start it up and it won't idle and runs a little rough and the steering is still off and now the clutch squeals like crazy. It did not do this before, but it was the one thing I didn't know enough about or did not have my friend look at when I bought it.
I call them today to ask them when it would be ready, cause nobody was in the Service Dept on Saturday. The guy tells me he won't even get a chance to get to it til X-Mas at the earliest. I blew a gasket now!!
I tell him you did not fix what I originally brought it in for and now it's even worse and you won't even look at for 2 weeks, and this after I blew $700 bucks for you to fix it and was told not to touch it until Winter. I said you just cost me to miss the first good snow and now 2 more weekends. I said that is conceivably 20% of the season. I told him it better be ready by the 22nd cause I'm going up north. So he tells me to call next Wednesday the 21st for an update. This is what sucks most being down here in PA. Not enough dealers. The problem is this guy sells a lot of ATV's and that is his first priority this time of year and I have to drive 45 minutes to get there. I'm afraid even tho he's a Yamaha dealer that their mechanics might not be that good. God I wish I was back in NY!

I put about 120 miles on Saturday in the same area, and thought for the most part the trails sucked. A few were OK, but most had too many 2 foot mogouls.

Except for Travis on the not well setup '03 the rest of us were eating up the moguls. Tim really got to check out the Nytro and it was all that he had hoped for.
Boomer, all I have to say is it sucks you are spending all that cash on your sled. Maybe mine wasn't such a bad deal after all :D

Dang...looks like I missed out. I wish the sled was back together and I had some time to ride. Looks like no riding till after X-mas for me. I'm sure you guys had a blast. Dave, plan on some type of ride up you're way some time in beginning of January. I do believe the 3 Bears Inn is calling my name....hahaha. Glad you guys had a good ride.

We had many miles of 2 ft moguls as well. I was a bit sore on Sunday and Monday, just tops of my legs, interesting with the new Attak chassie I found myself standing up more than ever. It was however a good ride for a Weekend this early in the year for the Hill. I don't think I've ever seen as many Yamahas on the trails as I did on Saturday... wicked!
