ell i went to the milwaukee show to look at the new vector. When i sat on it i didnt like the seating my 08 vector felt much better. When i sat on the apex ltx the seating felt almost perfect. I dont want a 128 i perfer a 136. So here is my delema .I am 5'5 and weight about 145 lbs. Is the apex xlt hard to turn i am concered that this sled is a big boy and may be to much sled for me. Do i just get the vector ltx and try to have the seat built up like the apexs is.The big apex looks awesome. Also does the apex need 91 octane gas ? Any advise on this would be helpful in making my selection. I am planning to get a left over 2012. Thanks

Kinda confused by this post but will try to post something. Yes most vector seats are a bit soft compared to the newer apex's. Pretty sure there wasn't an Apex LTX at the Yamaha booth in Milwaukee, So I am guessing you sat on either the apex (standard 128) , apex se 128, or apex xtx 144 . Neither the APEX or the Vectors are hard to turn anymore with EPS on them. You would be perfectly fine on an Apex, Also 91 is recommended but they will run on 87 or higher also, so when you are out where there isn't any premium no need to worry. My wife rides a new apex, and does just fine.

hope this helps

i'd say go with the big dog apex xtx.

if you don't, you'd always be thinking, what if...

I have the xtx and couldnt be happier with it most comfortable sled in the studders i have ever rode and turns like a 128

EPS takes care of turning effort so no conern with that on Apex XTX. 87 gas not recomended for 2012 Apex will be ok in a pinch also keeps me away since premium in boonies often stale. Yammie has to get back to using regular gas in all sleds to grab my attention & upgrade from Attak.
