that the tunnel on your viper will come empty with no heat exchanger or tunnel protectors or mounts supposedly?
The SR Viper will have the front mounted radiator and a tunnel heat exchanger in front of the drive axle only. There will be no other heat exchanger in the tunnel. The heat exchanger that sits at the back of the tunnel in the current Arctic Cats will not be used in the Yamaha and also not in the Cat with the Yamaha engine.

I ride with two 2013 cat 800's and the only complant I have heard is that they carry so much ice around that heat exchanger.

for 09nytro the doo comes with the channel in the tunnel mounted exhanger for easy slide in tunnel protection...from what Ive heard the tunnel will be bare....no channel etc....so if that was the case....sounds like a removal of the seat and gas tank to install protectors...hope this isnt so...how you snow checkers going to like that if it is? Id be pissed.. maybe yam will read the dissatisfaction and for sure put it in for you guys...

Icing yes..in arctic cats wisdom (or lack thereof) they decided to essentially duplicate yamaha's problem of icing by spacing the hot rear heat exchanger and the runs to it spaced away from the tunnel...hot source spaced away from tunnel equals icing problem...

for you gents who will run no studs..should be perfect for you...those who do....not as much...also...for those that are handling fanatics like me...front only exchanger and front radiator instead of rear...adds mass up front vs. the rear...

add to this ..is the battery up front? if so thats coming from the rear as to how it is on the cat' turbo as well....moving mass from rear to front on a front heavy fourstroke....just fuel for thought..
Battery is mounted in the rear, for someone with so much wisdom and knowledge about the viper I would have thought you'd known that.

thats why you see the ??? dont get defensive just because you ordered one...knowledge is power...and others might want to know...thanks for the info on the battery...my cats was there...I liked it there ALL BUT when I wanted to install some HIDS to the battery..killed that....

on a positive note ...the tuners will have some nice choices on exhausts...look for lots of options...and for the power mongers...the hyvo aftermarket gears (reverse delete and retain) would be available ..unless theres a last minute chain and gear change...

I can post a pic of my external chain adjuster if anyones interested (built by my bud Jim at OSP)

fyi ...the magnesium gearbox..specifically the screw guides ...have a habit of cracking...the hose clamps on the rubber hose coupler's have failed...

I work on doos ...and it is a slick way they do that...you still have to take the rear light and flap off but it does work good....makes for easy install that's for sure.....they come with the front ones .....
