that if you are doing......oh say 35 mph,,,, and hit a rock hard snow drift, and the sled stops RFN,,,, and then your leg hits the handlebars so hard that it bends them, and you do a complete flip that the flying Welendas would be proud of,,,,,and then lawn dart head first into another snowdrift 15 feet away,,,,, thats it hurts like hell 6 hours later? Of course Steve saw my head disappear into the snow and thought I had a broken neck- HA fooled him! He still hasnt stopped smiling, peckerhead. :?

Moral of the story- NEEDED- set of RX1 MTN handlebars.

pass the Tylenol 5's.

Did ya bend the left side or right side? I hit a rock at that speed with the left ski, sled did as you put it stop RFN and I went over the bars bending the left side (cleared the hood windshild etc.) and landed on my back about 15 -20 ft. out. Problem is I also bent the left steerin knuckle assemblt the upper and lower a-arms and all bolts associated with them (even the bolts and collars that go through the bulk head). I'm thinking about trying to get the taller wider '05 bars.

I did something similar about fifteen years ago, but I managed a graceful flip in the air and intentionally (with some luck) landed on my back. Problem was it wasn't soft snow that I landed on, but frozen earth pile covered with snow. Ended up with cracked tail bone, bruised kidney and spleen. Six days in the hospital.

you win

Blackice- you win, hands down. I got up immediately, had a little booboo on my shin, sore neck, thats about all. Good thing I landed on a non vital organ (brainpan). We stripped down the hawg, straightened the bars in a vice good enough to finish the day, and went again. I found out that 4 strokers are wonderful for chasing coyotes too, had one right in the skis, he was so busy listening to the piped viper he never knew I was there. Today, however is a different story. It all hurts, I really miss my hot tub.
